Writing is a central element in philosophical education.  Many books have been written for students on how to write a good philosophical paper and for teachers on how to foster good philosophical writing in philosophy classes.  There is no single approach that is best for everyone.  We have put together some resources for students and for teachers in the hope that exposure to a variety of different approaches will help students to develop their own personal style and faculty to develop their own personal teaching toolbox.  These resources have been prepared by faculty and graduate students at UW who have made them available for the use of students and teachers in the ongoing enterprise of improving philosophical writing.
